Our Mission is to Maintain a Steady, Nutritious Local Food Supply
Forman Farms is a fully diversified family farm, in operation since 1973. We are located at 4040 Brewer’s Mills Road, Seeley’s Bay, Ontario. Open Google Map. We operate under a sound Environmental Farm Plan, in accordance with Canadian Standards; we use compost on farm fields, renewable energy to heat greenhouses, and are active tree planters.
We contribute to sustainability by:
- Composting waste matter, redistributing to crops and mulch
- Rotating crops - planting different crops sequentially on the same plot of land to improve soil health, optimize nutrients in the soil, and combat pest and weed pressure
- Biologicals - products that are derived from living organisms to enhance crop growth, soil health and pest control. We combine the best historical practices, to improve agricultural yields and reduce farm costs.
- Adding fertilizer inhibitors (slow-release products) which slow down the conversion of ammonium to nitrate, reducing nitrate leaching and greenhouse gas emissions. This not only safeguards purchased fertilizer but also mitigates environmental risks.

C02 Sequestering and Soil Management
- Planting cover crops and perennials - managing soil erosion, soil fertility and quality.
- Planting using no-till methods/minimum tillage, to reduce carbon footprint.
We produce a variety of fresh, nutritious produce (fruits and vegetables), flowers, grains (including Wheat, Soybeans, Corn and Canola), and landscape mulches in various colours. In addition to what we produce, we also provide;
- Landscaping services - flower bed design, preparation, planting and maintaining,

Special occasion décor - indoor and outdoor
- Spring (Easter, Mothers Day, etc.),
- Fall (corn stalks, straw bales, pumpkins, etc.),
- Christmas Décor – urn inserts, deck pots, hanging baskets, wreaths, table arrangements, centerpieces, etc. and
- Wedding - indoor and outdoor staging areas (décor and photo), table arrangements, centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnières, corsages, nosegays, etc.
